Each one of these sites can be a good solid way to drive targeted traffic to your articles or your website. Before you ask, yes, you have to be careful not to do and outright sales pitch on your post. But with a little thinking on your part you will be able to make a useful post that is directed to your target market, without coming across as spam.
Some of the sites will not lend themselves to this marketing strategy, unless you are very creative in your post. Consequently you will find yourself being banned and your post being deleted if you violate the terms of service of those and others reflected on this list of social networking sites.

I see so many people using Web 2.0, but they aren’t having success because they aren’t interactive. That is one of the main reasons why Web 2.0 is so effective, it is because of the interaction and networking.
Selling a product is tough. I’ve been in sales for many years and I majored in Sales in college. I did manage to make the dean’s list, a number of times. I know everything that there is to know about making a sale and I’ve made a ton of sales in person and a ton of sales online.
I used to be a top salesman at various jobs. I used to get that reputation because I was good looking, that wasn’t why I was successful. I was successful because I was good at connecting with people and understanding and solving their problems.
When it comes to Web 2.0 or online sales, what you look like, doesn’t matter. Heck, most sales are made without them even seeing you. I don’t have a picture of myself on my two best selling sales pages.
The key is to interact with people and build relationships. People usually won’t buy a product online if they haven’t been pre-sold. I’ve had so much more success when I give away something for free and then tell people that they can get a lot more, if they buy, but I’m not too pushy.
I always offer a money back guarantee and provide my e-mail address to people. If they have any concerns, I will ease them and they usually end up buying. In the end it is usually about trust.
Trust is usually earned when it comes to selling online. People are really skeptical to take out their credit cards and order. When they can talk and interact with a real person, it changes everything. I would say that 90% of the people that send me an e-mail about buying an item, actually buy it.
I don’t contact them with this big, slick, salesman e-mail, I just answer their questions and reassure them. It is coaching them through the whole process.
Think of yourself as a parent that is teaching your kid how to walk. If they fall down and ask for a refund, you grant it, but you should have the confidence that most of them will be very successful and gain a lot from the product. Confidence is key.

Your social networking profile is important when it comes to
meeting other Internet users. This is because, in most cases, Internet users are looking
to chat with someone who has the same goals, views, beliefs, and interests as they do.
Without a personal profile, it would be difficult or impossible to tell what your interests
are. That is why social networking profiles are not only important, but they are needed.
When it comes to social networking profiles, a lot of focus has been placed on what you
should include in your profile or display on your profile page. It has been said that
pictures produce the best responses, as well as detailed personal information.
Although a picture and detailed personal information may help to increase your page views, you may be getting views that you do not necessarily want. Despite what you may believe,
most social networking websites do not have restrictions on who can view your personal
profile. In fact, Internet users, even those that do not belong to your online community,
can easily see profile.
Since anyone, literally anyone, can see your social networking profile, on most social
networking websites, you are advised to be cautious. Essentially, this means that
instead of focusing on what you should put in your online profile, you should be focusing
on what not to put.
This is one the best ways to protect your safety, both on and offline.
Pictures (again!) are often recommended with social networking websites. If you are
interested in posting a personal picture of yourself in your online profile you can do so,
but you are advised to carefully choose that picture. While you will want to look your
best, you are advised against posting a picture that is too revealing or seductive in
nature. Most Internet users can look at these types of pictures without feeling a thing, but
for others these types of pictures spell danger.
If you make the decision to post a picture of yourself in your social networking website
profile, you need to be careful about the rest of the information that you post. Although
you may not necessarily think about it, a picture is just a picture, but combined with your
name and address, it could be a deadly combination. You are advised to only post your
first name in your profile. This will make it more difficult for anyone to try and contact
you off of the Internet.
It is also advised that you carefully choose your location. A large number of online
social networking sites require that you select a city, as well as a state. If it is allowed,
you may only wish to list your state and not the city. If you are required to list the city and the state that you live in, you may want to think about using a nearby city or town,
especially if you live in a small town. If an Internet predator wanted to contact you and
you lived in a small town, it could be fairly easy for them to find you. That is why it is
advised that you carefully select the answer to the location question.
In addition to the above precautionary measures, it is advised that you do not post
detailed information on your children, the location of your home, your income, or
when you will be leaving for vacation! By keeping these and the above mentioned
points in mind, you should be able to enjoy online social networking without having to
always look behind your back.

Promote your blog? Why would you want to do that? Honestly, if you have to ask
yourself that question you probably shouldn’t even have one. The whole purpose of a
blog is to document your thoughts, views, and opinions on a particular topic,
issue, or subject.
In addition to sharing your thoughts with the rest of the world, did you know that you
could also make money from your blog?
You can signup for affiliate programs or other programs like Google Adsense. If you
are using your blog to make money then you will defiantly want to promote it.

The title of this posts sounds funny because when most people think about Twitter they either don’t think about using it for marketing or for marketing new niches. Most people use Twitter just for socializing or they simply just have one Twitter account and target a certain niche market and market that way.
In reality, you can have several different Twitter accounts, marketing in several different niche markets at one time. The first problem that people have is setting up their Twitter accounts.
Either use a picture of yourself or use some logo to represent the Twitter account. Grab a decent looking background from searching online. Write a bio and give your link and you’re done.

Today I listened to a great video that made me think alot about web 2.0 and social media. Lately there has been a big push for automation software and social media marketing.
There are 2 things I believe you can not automate completely if you are to build a lasting presence online. Your content development and your social circle.
If you think about what social media and social marketing is all about, it is about connecting with others and sharing your message with like minded people.
This video below by Seth Godin talks directly to the nature of our business and social media. Although he does not use the phrases of social media, if you read between the lines you will see what I mean.
The winds of marketing are changing and we can see that. If you continue to use old media marketing in the new social media arena, then you will be left behind holding an empty bag of names with no faces.
Relationship marketing is the new, but yet it is the old way of marketing. People do business with people…not with computers. Remember that this is a tool to allow you form and find relationships quickly, this is the great advantage. BUT…the importance of building relationships and trust is the backbone of all successful business.

Charles Heflin had a heck of a post worth its wait in GOLD.
Charles is one voice I listen to as far as social media…

Check this out…
Here’s how I do it…
- Publish a new blog post.
- Syndicate the post to 2 or 3 social news sites with large market share (many eyeballs).
- Increase the visibility of the syndications by garnering comments, votes and shares on each network where I syndicate my blog post. (I use a tool called Synnd for this function)
As content gains votes and comments it becomes more visible to a larger and larger audience.
In approximately a few hours I will start to see:
- An almost immediate increase in traffic to my new blog post
- The blog post has been indexed by Google and ranked higher than usual (usual being if I did not syndicate my blog post to social networks)
- A steady increase in traffic as the visibility of my content is increased through social voting and commenting.
- A steady (and automatic) spread of my content from the original networks I syndicated to other networks as other people spread my content through bookmarks, inbound links from blog posts, mentions in forums, etc.
- A steady and increasing amount targeted traffic arriving at my blog post.
- A steady and increasing amount of people who opt-in or download my free report (they are now in my sales funnel)… PROSPECTS!
All of this is measurable and I have a clear and definitive ROI (Return On Investment) … My investment (in the case of this blog post) was 30 minutes writing, 2 minutes syndicating (using the tool Synnd) and no
time is spent in increasing the visibility of my content becuase the Synnd network handles it for me. No time spent spreading my content becuase I made sure it was eduacational, enlightening and/or entertaining so it will spread from network to network automatically because people find it interesting.
So in total I spent 32 minutes on “Social Media Marketing” this blog post. This blog post will draw traffic, action (opt-ins, rss subscribers, report downloaders) and sales. All measuerable, all repeatable.
The last blog post that I social media marketed has pulled in over $10,000 in revenue from about 1 hour of work. What is the ROI on that? I’ve been so busy handling new business from that post that I am just now getting around to writing this new post.
After I begin pulling in prospects then (and only then) will I begin social media networking. I start networking with prospects… I DO NOT network to gain prospects, I only network with prospects I have gained through social media marketing and I network with them through my personal or corporate blog, email or in my private network.
Now this makes sense…
Who has time to spend 3 hours twittering everyday?
How about 32 minutes to make $10k?
Sounds a heck of alot better to me.

Networking is vitally important for Internet Marketers. We use networking to attract joint venture partners, attract affiliates, get information from people and advice from them etc.
Networking in digg and stumble upon is also important. Can you be successful with digg and stumble upon, by yourself, without networking? The answer is yes, it is possible to be successful with digg and stumble upon by yourself, but it will be an uphill battle and will be much more difficult.
One of the reasons that it will be difficult is because you are alone and you aren’t reaching out to other members to gain valuable information. Lets just say that you’re a brand new member to both of these sites.
You probably don’t have a very good understanding of how things work. Even if you do have a good understanding of how things work, there is always more for you to learn. There are always more tips out there that people can give you that can help you.

You don’t want to feel out of place when you enter the HubPages online community. To make you feel at home, here are some terms that you may want to browse through:
- Hubber - that’s You! A hubber is someone who creates the web pages and writes the articles on HubPages.
- Hubtivity - this term reflects what you have been doing in HubPages. It will give other people a run down of things that have been keeping you busy in the social network.
- Hubmetrics - these are the statistics, which gives you an idea how well your hub may be performing. It will give you a picture of the revenue potential, view durations, and traffic related to the content that you have created.
- Capsules - You have the Content capsules and the Revenue Capsules. The first one will help you manage the photos, videos, links or other contents. The latter refers to websites, which may help in bringing in an extra stream of income.
- Tags- these are keywords, which will make your hubs friendly to search engines. Good tags will help search engines to find your web pages.
- HubScore - This refers to the quality of your hub or webpage
- Fan Club - a venue to help your reader base to be informed of your activities and new posts
- Hub Group - Keep things organized by collecting similar articles or contents under a heading.
- Impression - This drives revenue generation or when advertisements appear on your hub.
Knowing the terms makes it easier to jump into hubpages and creating your first hub page.

Hey All,
I have been so buried with work that I have dropped the ball on everything including my family. Jesh…
It is so tough to have balance sometimes and I find myself working way too much. I am finding that I REALLY miss blogging and teaching. I love to teach, and I am working with a business coach over the next 6 months to move myself to a higher income and move more towards a balanced life.
Anyways, I am committed to come back to this site and posting daily and giving you great informaiton on a daily basis.
I have pushed back the Internet Business Training Program once again. I am working on some other projects and building up cash flow before I can come back to the internet business training program and do what I really want to do with it.
One of the things I want to provide is ME…I want to teach YOU!…
